Everyday Chaos in the Nine Gates

[Nine Gates Daily Life] [Lighthearted Comedy] [A Bunch of Characters] [A Protective Umbrella] [Nine Gates]

The Nine Gates of Changsha: every name more famous than the last, and every one of them better at causing trouble than the last.

Chen Pi turns over a street stall.

The dogs at Wu Laogou's house knock over a memorial archway.

Qi Tiezui makes a fortune-telling prediction that leaves someone's ancestral grave smoking.

A single performance by Er Yuehong has every concubine in town climbing over the garden walls.

One look from Huo Xiangu sends every man in Changsha lining up to jump into the Xiang River...

What do they do after making trouble?

Run! They all run to the Zhang residence!

"Lord Buddha, save me!"

"Lord Buddha, I swear I didn't throw the first punch this time!"

"Lord Buddha, it was just a little misunderstanding..."

Zhang Qishan resignedly goes to appease the aggrieved, suppress complaints, placate his superiors, and offer apologies at their doors.

He's the head of the Nine Gates and Changsha's garrison commander,

but above all, he's the biggest criminal gang's protective umbrella in the whole Nine Gates.

Eight troublemakers, and one man left to clean up after them.

Daily life in the Nine Gates is utter chaos.

Zhang Qishan can only say: I'm exhausted.
