The Heavenly Master of the Morgue

This is a modern urban world where humans and ghosts coexist and the realms of yin and yang are connected. The human world has its own order, and the underworld has its own laws. A century ago, the righteous and wicked factions of celestial masters fought a shocking battle. The leader of the righteous path joined forces with nine celestial masters to seal away the Ghost King of the time and the foremost evil cultivator. But the victory came at a terrible cost: the nine masters exhausted their powers sealing them away, then sealed themselves inside an ancestral jade pendant and vanished into the mortal world, waiting for a destined successor to inherit their legacy, awaken their powers once more, and maintain the balance between the realms of yin and yang.

The jade pendant's legacy has been passed down for a century, yet no one has ever been able to awaken the celestial power within it. Then a poor university student named Zhou Yi appears, and the wheels of fate begin to turn once more.
