My world was originally gray, like glass covered with dust. I walked among them, my steps were vague, and I couldn't even distinguish my own shadow. Days are repetitive circles with no beginning and no end. Until one day, a beam of light shone in slantingly - so sudden, so unreasonable. It fell on the pages of my book, turning the boring words into living things that could breathe; it climbed onto my fingertips, and the warmth traveled along my blood vessels, and I almost heard my own rusty heartbeat. Tiny dust particles floated in the light, spinning happily as if dancing a dance that no one could see. But the sky soon darkened, and the beam of light retracted its toes and retreated silently. I sat alone in the growing twilight, but I no longer felt cold - because I finally knew that there was light in this world. Even though I'm gone, it still illuminates my eyes so clearly. I hope you who read this will also meet your light.
Very pretty!
