[Chinese Folk Horror | Episodic Folklore Mystery]

No transmigration, no peerless powerhouse seeking immortality.

Lin Hai, a former criminal investigator, narrowly escapes death when a Gobi Desert landslide buries him. He joins a secret field agency that poses to the public as a folklore society.

In a loess cave dwelling, paper figures paint their own faces.

In a mourning hall for a joyous funeral, laughter echoes from the coffin at night.

Most evil spirits aren’t born as demons. They are the regrets and obsessions people carry for decades.

A gun can shatter their vessel, but it cannot sever the bonds of the human heart.

The power left inside Lin Hai after his brush with death is both his trump card for survival and the key capable of unlocking a colossal underground lock.
