"Jia Xuan Xia Ying" is a historical martial arts novel based on the patriotic poet Xin Qiji of the Southern Song Dynasty. It takes the troubled times of the confrontation between the Song and Jin Dynasties as the scene and reconstructs Xin Qiji's legendary life from "youth travel" to "the lonely sword and frost".
The novel tells the story of Xin Youan, a young man from Licheng, who was burdened with the hatred of his family and his country. He studied under Master Taishan Lingsu and realized the "Jiaxuan Sword Intention" of using Ci Pai into sword moves. He gathered a crowd in Mount Tai to assist Geng Jing in raising troops to fight against the Jin Dynasty. He even led fifty cavalrymen to break into an enemy camp of fifty thousand soldiers at night, and captured the traitor general Zhang Anguo alive and returned to the south, making him famous throughout the world. After crossing to the south, he presented "Ten Essays on Meiqin", founded the Flying Tiger Army, defended Zhenjiang, and repeatedly performed extraordinary feats. However, due to his status as a "reformer", he suffered many ups and downs in the strife of the Zhuhe faction. Finally, he retired to Laoquan, and lived out his life in the sadness of "drunk and burning the lamp to watch the sword".
The work blends historical reality and martial arts imagination, using "sword" to describe his martial prowess, and "words" to describe his literary heart, creating a tragic hero caught between the temple and the rivers and lakes. In the eternal sigh of "No one knows, I will come to you", Xin Qiji guarded the mountains and rivers with his lone sword, illuminated the future with his words, and wrote the tragic song of his family and country where the hero lost his way and was full of ambition.
