[Western Fantasy] [Adventure] [Slice of Life] [Slow Burn] [Multiple Heroines] [Sweet and Angsty] [Female Dragonkin-Elf Hybrid Protagonist]
Beside the entrance to the Starshadow Tavern, a completely ordinary wooden sign bears a few lines nobody bothers to read:
"Every adventurer receives an Iron-Rank adventurer certificate from the Adventurers' Guild, takes the cheapest tools and equipment, and leaves home with a heart full of passion, blessings, faith, and dreams, setting out on an adventure into the unknown in search of treasure."
But hidden on the back of the sign is another passage:
"...When those adventurers return, they bring back no treasure and no tales of legend, only broken bodies, numb minds, cold hearts, and the belongings of comrades who fell in battle."
Carved by Annis Vagland, an Adamantine-Rank adventurer, an elf-dragonkin hybrid, and a retired adventurer who now battles all kinds of ingredients on her cutting board with a kitchen knife every day.
Annis thought she could finally enjoy some peace and quiet after retiring.
But she never imagined her past would chase her relentlessly.
The kind that actually grows legs and runs after her.
Dukes, guildmasters, princesses, saintesses, heroes, other races... Countless "fateful encounters" come knocking at her door.
Is it scary? Yes, very scary.
Annis just needs to retire and run away. Frontline adventurers have a lot to think about.
Why does everyone want to become a "dragon knight"?
What do you mean Annis is a dragon too?
And what do you mean by asking if you can hire her party for the rest of your life?
You sure only think about yourself, don't you?
What do you mean you can't use magic and rely entirely on stats?
I'm retired. Please leave me alone.
The image on the cover is so heroic, she is like a woman among men. It is very strange after being substituted. Logically speaking, the image of the protagonist should be that of a royal sister with a young figure and a face, similar to that of Ruonawa from Genshin Impact. Otherwise, the protagonist will have Alzheimer's disease🤦
Although I can't see much Lily at the moment, the character of the protagonist's silly dragon girl really pokes me. The main problem at the moment is too much background introduction and description. I suggest the author streamline it or open a separate chapter to clearly explain the background and world structure.
Top quality western fantasy! Reward! (Although a lot of background information may make it difficult to attract readers, but I kind of like it)
I hope I can continue to update it. I haven't encountered a book I like so much in a long time.
More than a hundred nb! 🤤I have to see
The worldview is rich and logical, and the settings are quite novel. The shortcomings are that some of the writing is a bit cumbersome and the characterization of key characters is not vivid enough.
There are too few stickers, right?
It's a good book. Although it's a bit complicated in some places due to excessive force, it still has flaws. I hope the author will return with a new book soon🙏
Come on, I support you
