After transmigrating into the body of a useless playboy, I set four rules for myself:
1. If I can avoid a fight, I never fight.
2. If I can run, I never stick around.
3. If I can trick someone, I never take them head-on.
4. If I can stay alive another day, I never risk my life just to show off.
I’ll own the debts the original owner owed. I’ll steer clear of the trouble he got himself into. And I’ll pretend I never saw the people he provoked.
But the more I do that, the more they say I’m putting on an act.
They say I’m biding my time. That I’m hiding my true strength.
That I’m playing some grand game.
Even I’m starting to believe them.
Because some debts can’t be dodged.
Some people come looking for me. Some things from back then seem never to have ended.
And I don’t even know what a man who fears death will do when he’s backed into a corner with nowhere left to run.
