Synopsis

[Two Emperors] [Older Man/Younger Man] [Coercion] [Both Tops and Bottoms] After a rebellion in Beijing, the Yu Dynasty fled south to survive. Yet, against all odds, a ruler emerged who restored the dynasty to greatness.

Emperor Zhao Jingyun had no interest in women and no heirs.

Wounded by an arrow during a northern campaign, the emperor abdicated in his prime, intending to pass the throne to his favored heir.

Had the once-great restorer become a sick tiger, withdrawn from power and confined to his sickbed?

On the dragon throne sat the handsome young Emperor Zhao Yunzhen. By day, he accepted the court officials' prostrations, appearing in their eyes to be a benevolent new ruler.

Everyone knew the current emperor had been personally raised and chosen by the Retired Emperor. He had accompanied him on northern campaigns since childhood and was deeply favored by him, making his legitimacy beyond question.

No one knew that when night fell,

the new emperor lying beneath Zhao Jingyun was the most agonizing part of his days.

"I gave you your life and your empire. Yunzhen, what can you give me in return?"

"I am not your puppet. The empire may bear the Zhao name, but it doesn't belong to you alone, Zhao Jingyun."

Looking for books like "Possessive to the Extreme: The Sick, Scheming, and Unhinged CEO!". Staying independent in love is important, but I just love a madman’s kind of love.
