Slay the Gods: Beginning to Wield the Mysterious

Su Ye transmigrates into the world of Slay the Gods. On the day he awakens, he discovers something new in his mind. A System. The System tells him: he can obtain the abilities of every “ghost” in The Mysterious Revival, and follow any of the twenty-two Paths of the Divine from Lord of the Mysteries. “Ghosts” are rules, distortions, taboos that kill ordinary people at a touch. “Paths” are sequences, advancement, the ladder mortals climb to become gods. Looking at these two completely different power systems before him, Su Ye falls into deep thought: Should he become a “ghost,” silently harvesting everything from the shadows? Or climb the sequence ladder, step by step, and become a new “god”? He decides to have it all. And so, in this world where the gods are about to descend and disasters keep coming, there is now a transmigrator with a rather unusual style: “Easy. Once I’ve maxed out my sequence and raised my ghosts, we’ll take them on one at a time.” “System,” Su Ye calls out in his mind. “Can I use the powers of a Path of the Divine and a malicious ghost at the same time?” System: ...In theory, yes, but no one has ever tried. “Then someone has now.” Su Ye stands before a door that has appeared out of nowhere. He raises his hand, curls his fingers, and knocks three times, neither hard nor soft. Knock. Knock. Knock. (If you want a story about ordinary malicious ghosts or Paths of the Divine, you can move along. This is only the world of Slay the Gods, after all, and the worldviews are different. There are no malicious ghosts here, no potion ingredients, and no Outer Gods from Lord of the Mysteries. There’s no fighting the resurgence of malicious ghosts or the corruption of Outer Gods. Writing that sort of thing would drag the pacing down too much. And if the protagonist is fighting both ghost resurgence and corruption at once, who do you think he is?)
