On the day funeral home embalmer Chen Jiu quits his job, he receives a paper effigy shop left to him by his great-grandfather, who disappeared twenty years ago, along with a bronze lamp that refuses to light.
At midnight, the wick catches fire on its own. A long line forms outside the shop, and every customer is dead.
"Shopkeeper Chen, I've been dead in my rented apartment for half a month, and my landlord still hasn't returned my deposit..."
"Shopkeeper, pass a message to the one under my bed: tell them to stop counting me."
Fulfill a ghost's last wish to earn lamp oil. The oil keeps you alive and safe. But Chen Jiu soon discovers that the lamp burns more than oil: it burns through the accounts of a shocking old case from twenty years ago.
Midnight has come, and the shop doors are open. The first job of the night may be one he wouldn't dare take, even for extra pay.
