After Failing to Climb Into Her Master’s Bed, the Concubine’s Daughter Is Forced to Fight for Her Place in the Household

Song Yushuang transmigrated into an old-fashioned, ridiculous novel as a supporting female character who helps the heroine.

But the moment she opened her eyes, she was making out with the villain, Shen Ruoxian, only for him to kick her off the bed.

Sticking to the principle that a woman who passes up a handsome man is a fool, Song Yushuang was just about to pounce on him when she was stuffed into a sack and sent back to the Song residence.

Song Yushuang was beaten with thirty strokes of the cane until she was half-dead, then sent away that very night to live at the family's old home in Huaiqing Prefecture.

Before she left, the original novel's villainous supporting character, Song Huiyi, said, "The old madam has a strange temperament. You'll probably have a hard time at the old residence."

Song Yushuang saw the calculation and smugness in Song Huiyi's eyes and finally understood: Song Huiyi had schemed to switch their fates.

After enduring two whole years in Huaiqing Prefecture, Song Yushuang returned to the capital.

When the main story began, she stayed under the male and female leads' protection, making life difficult for Song Huiyi and occasionally flirting with handsome men in the capital.

Later, she discovered a bug: whenever she gave in to lust, bad luck followed.

So Song Yushuang was forced to wear the serene, celibate expression of a monk every day.

A look of pity crossed Shen Ruoxian's handsome, weary features, and he asked hoarsely, "You won't get close to me because you're thinking of Chu Yun'an, or the young master Lin you were engaged to in Huaiqing Prefecture?"

Song Yushuang sighed. "Neither. I'm the problem."

Shen Ruoxian didn't believe her explanation. He pinned her down and kissed her fiercely. "Don't push me away. Please."

The next day, both of them came down with food poisoning and lay on the bed, foaming at the mouth.

Song Yushuang: "I told you I can't get near men."

Shen Ruoxian: "Excuses."

P.S. The main reason Song Yushuang and Shen Ruoxian can end up together is that Shen Ruoxian is simply too innocent to fear death.
