War of Resistance: The Japanese Think I’m One of Them

1941, Jin Province.

Xu Shenyan wakes up to find himself serving as an interpreter to a Japanese army major.

He looks at the Japanese soldier’s sword, then at the documents in his hands, and goes numb.

“Being transmigrated into the War of Resistance is one thing, but now I have to be a traitor?”

Then the previous owner’s memories come back to him.

Code name: God of Wealth.

Identity: an underground intelligence agent who has been undercover inside the Japanese army for three years.

Xu Shenyan: “Oh, in that case, it’s fine.”

At the same time, the Enemy-Trap Rebate System activates.

As long as he sets the Japanese and puppet troops up for a crushing defeat, he earns rewards.

Divert military rations? Double rewards! Swap out weapons shipments? Double rewards! Send the sweep route ahead of time? Double rewards again!

Most absurd of all, the more thoroughly the Japanese are duped into adopting his plans, the greater the reward!

And so Xu Shenyan gets it.

What’s the point of killing a few Japanese soldiers?

If he’s going to trap them, he should trap an entire regiment!

If he’s going to deliver equipment, he should make the Japanese deliver it themselves!

From interpreter to the major’s trusted aide, then to regimental adviser and division consultant…

A few years later, the Japanese army’s top brass in North China all praise Xu Shenyan:

“Mr. Xu, a true friend of the Empire!”

Meanwhile, at the resistance base, a top-secret telegram is being passed around.
