Hunting the Wilds of Changbai

Synopsis of Hunting the Changbai Mountains: (If you find the opening too slow or it’s not to your taste, start reading from Chapter 16! I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you to everyone who has supported this book! There’s no golden finger and no System in this story, just a man given another chance at life and a quiet, silent mountain. Hunting means blood will be shed, guns can really misfire, dogs can really die, and people can really fall in love. And after falling in love, life still goes on.)

The steam had not yet faded from the enamel mug when Lin Shan touched his own face: young and firm, not the frozen, lifeless shell he’d had in 2009.

He was back. It was 1980, and he was eighteen.

His first order of business after being reborn was to head into the mountains. Grandpa said wild beasts were the most frightening things up there. Lin Shan knew the words Grandpa had left unsaid: people were crueler than beasts. In his previous life, he had saved someone. The half jade pendant around that person’s neck fit perfectly with the other half he had brought back from 2009.

What he had accumulated over two lifetimes was more than experience. He also had an ambition he could barely keep in check. One man could cook a whole pot of rice; a pair of hands could bring down the leader of a wolf pack. And all the while, he kept thinking about whom he owed and whom he had wronged.

Snow was falling over the Changbai Mountains once more. Debts had to be settled one by one: those from hunting, those of the heart, and the life he was owed by the lost hiker from his previous life.

This time, he would settle accounts with a gun.

A no-System, no-golden-finger urban farming novel. The story focuses on the protagonist using his own wits and skills to build a fortune through steady, down-to-earth work in ordinary life. Warm and realistic! I hope you enjoy it!
