[Captive Love | Mending a Broken Relationship | The Long Road to Winning Her Back]
The day Shi Xingyi learned about her girlish feelings, he gave her just two words: “Disgusting.”
The Pei family fell on hard times years ago, leaving only Pei Zhaoshui behind.
Out of kindness, Old Madam Shi took Pei Zhaoshui into the Shi household as Shi Xingyi’s playmate.
Shi Xingyi treated her with courtesy and warmth, and stood up for her.
The year she developed feelings she shouldn’t have, Shi Xingyi fell for someone too.
It was Chu Qiao, a dancer from the class next door. Standing beside Shi Xingyi, the two looked like a perfect match.
The day Pei Zhaoshui’s secret love for him was exposed, Shi Xingyi threw out the word “Disgusting.”
The day she lost Shi Xingyi’s protection and was mugged by a gang of hooligans, he took Chu Qiao to the amusement park and refused to answer any of Pei Zhaoshui’s calls.
Shi Xingyi’s father gave Pei Zhaoshui two choices: transfer back to her hometown or drop out and find work.
Pei Zhaoshui chose the former, and from then on disappeared from Shi Xingyi’s world.
Years later, when Old Madam Shi celebrated her birthday, Pei Zhaoshui returned to Shencheng for the banquet.
Shi Xingyi spotted the wedding ring on her hand and completely lost control.
“Zhaoshui, how could you marry someone else?”
Pei Zhaoshui broke free of his grasp.
“How could you develop feelings for me?”
“Disgusting.”
At last, she gave him back his own words, exactly as he’d said them all those years ago.
