[One-on-one, both leads' first time, happy ending, two wealthy Hong Kong families]
On their wedding day, the groom, Chi Zhou, failed to show up for no apparent reason.
The marriage between the Wen and Chi families was vital to a project worth tens of billions.
“Grandpa Chi, are we still getting married?”
“...Jiujiu, you can pick any of the unmarried men in the Chi family.”
So Wen Jiu lifted her skirt and walked past the Chi family, whose members wore all kinds of expressions. Amid a sea of flustered and awkward faces, she made a beeline for the man sitting on the sofa in the corner.
Chi Yan, head of the Chi family, and Chi Zhou's uncle.
The man wore a perfectly tailored suit. His phoenix eyes, visible behind gold-rimmed glasses, lifted slightly as he toyed with a cufflink. He hadn't spared the farce a glance from beginning to end.
“Uncle Chi,” Wen Jiu said, standing before him with a bright smile. “Would you like to marry me?”
The man slowly looked up, the gold chain on his glasses swaying. His voice was cool and quiet. “Have you made up your mind, Miss Wen?”
“I have.”
“You won't regret it?”
“Never.”

Later, Chi Zhou returned and knelt outside the Chi family mansion, begging for forgiveness. He said he'd been blinded by true love back then.
Wen Jiu leaned against Chi Yan and munched on sunflower seeds, enjoying the show. “Uncle, your nephew is kneeling.”
Chi Yan turned a page in his papers without looking up. “Let him kneel. When he ran away from the wedding, I thanked his ancestors for eight generations.”
Wen Jiu laughed and collapsed against his shoulder.
“Aren't his ancestors your ancestors too?”
The man took the opportunity to pinch her chin, his phoenix eyes narrowing behind his gold-rimmed glasses. “Madam, tonight...”
“Get lost.”
“Getting into bed counts as getting lost.”

“I'm happy to be used by my wife.”
