When I was working outside, I received the news that my grandfather had passed away. I returned to my hometown in the mountains after many years of absence. I thought I was just coming back to tidy up the ancestral home and take care of the funeral affairs. But the moment I stepped into the village, I realized that everything in this mountain village was weird. The endless sound of footsteps outside the wall in the middle of the night, the corner of gray clothes quietly peeking out from the gap in the earth wall, and the dead eye behind the window paper. Grandpa left behind a broken notebook, leaving only a few fragmentary warnings. The old people in the village were very secretive and refused to reveal the truth until every sentence was finished. I slowly came to know that what my grandfather had been guarding all his life was a fate-forcing game buried under the old house in the mountains. Things are hidden within the walls, and the mountain village is a cage. From the moment I stepped into this homeland, I became prey. Dark nights come in turn, and evil spirits come to the door every night to consume people's soul. With only a piece of old chalk left behind by my grandfather and a curled-edged hatchet in my hands, I struggled to survive while digging for the truth behind my grandfather's death.
