Everyone who experiences spiritual energy entering their body for the first time awakens a weapon unique to them. It might be a beast, or it might be an artifact. People call these gifts Heaven's Gifts. Only those whose Heaven's Gift awakening comes with spiritual power can communicate with the spiritual energy between heaven and earth and cultivate themselves. The process of cultivation, through which one rediscovers one's true self, is known as cultivation of the Dao.
