I'm a Zombie Emperor, and You Still Call Me a Savior?

Huo Jue transmigrates into the first zombie of the apocalypse, but he doesn't rot or crave blood, and he's immune to every genetic poison and ultraviolet weapon designed to target zombies.

Bai Ye, the strongest female warrior at Humanity's Dawn Base, plunges a knife straight through Huo Jue's heart amid the ruins. Not only does Huo Jue survive, he pulls the knife out and casually uses it to peel an apple.

Bai Ye is stunned, but the base's upper brass are ecstatic. "A perfectly immune specimen! Humanity is saved!"

Huo Jue is welcomed back to the base as a savior. He plays along, enjoying the base's top-tier resources while using overwhelming force to crush other mutants. Those who follow him thrive; those who defy him get a bullet to the head.

Determined to expose him, Bai Ye grits her teeth and applies to become his personal bodyguard. But whenever danger strikes, Huo Jue punches a high-level zombie to smithereens, then turns around and innocently says, "See? I'm humanity's God of War."

As Huo Jue sits on a throne piled high with bones, Bai Ye's eyes grow red-rimmed. "You really are a monster!"

Huo Jue chuckles and pulls her into his arms. "A monster? No, I'm your god."
