I Just Wanted a Cook, So What’s With the Lace Apron?

Zhang Chi is a rich second-generation kid with no goals, wasting his days eating, drinking, and waiting to die.

Then one day, he tastes a meal made by Lin Nuan.

What is this heavenly deliciousness?

To make sure he can eat it every day, he hires Lin Nuan as his personal chef, paying her whatever it takes.

But one day, he discovers that his personal chef is actually a poor little thing.

She's timid? Then he'll teach her to be brave!

People bully her? Then he'll teach her to fight back!

Can't get into college, so she has to marry in exchange for a bride price?

I'll decide what happens to her life!

...Wait, what are these lace aprons and maid outfits?

Lin Nuan: ...I... I chose them myself.

Everyone: Yeah, right!
