[Supporting Female Character Awakens + 1vN + Thinks Everyone Hates Her, Actually Everyone Loves Her + Classic Over-the-Top Drama + Male Rivalry and Hair-Pulling]
Overnight, popular actress Bai Wei awakens and discovers that she's merely the villainous supporting female character in a steamy, classic 1vN entertainment-industry novel. She's about to get dragged into the original heroine's three romantic storylines, doing the work of three supporting characters without even getting overtime pay, and her ending is utterly miserable. Her first reaction: absurd. Her second: infuriating. Her third: well, I suppose it makes sense. Then she decides to find a way to save herself.
Content warnings:
1. All the male leads have classic, stereotypical characterizations (all sexually inexperienced): a CEO who acts as her sugar daddy, a director who is the heroine's brother-in-law, and a popular actor who is her ex. Every male lead has major flaws. In short, they're all dogs, each needing a different kind of leash. There are 3+1 romantic storylines. Whether the original heroine's older brother gets his own storyline will depend on how the plot develops.
2. The heroine is an orphan, desperately starved for affection and easily swayed. She's materialistic and self-serving, and dislikes reading and studying. She improves somewhat after awakening, but old habits die hard. The story opens with her already being one of the male leads' mistresses and includes classic kept-woman tropes. The heroine wants to join a family and have blood relatives of her own, including children.
3. The original heroine and the heroine have no conflict, and there is no female rivalry between them. However, elements of that may still appear if the plot calls for them.
4. The romance is full of over-the-top drama. The author mainly wants to let loose and write a classic melodramatic story, so the plot has no deeper meaning.
5. Updates every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Extra chapters will be released when goals are met.
6. It's perfectly normal if this isn't your thing! No worries! Meeting here means we were fated to cross paths, and you're welcome to vent with a few curses if you're upset.
I like the setting very much, looking forward to the follow-up
Although the character settings are old-fashioned, they are super, super, super good-looking!!! Five-star praise, highly recommended!!!
