I Just Saved Empress Ma, Then Hanged Myself and Scared Old Zhu Half to Death

Lu Yuan transmigrates to the Ming dynasty and binds himself to the [National Destiny Ascension System]. As long as he accumulates enough merit and dies in a bizarre way, he can ascend on the spot!

Just as Empress Ma is critically ill, Lu Yuan enters the palace and feeds her an immortal pill, forcibly pulling the empress back from the brink of death.

His merit is complete! To become an immortal as quickly as possible, Lu Yuan decisively finds a white silk cord and hangs himself in a secret chamber guarded by layers of Imperial Guards.

Who could have guessed that his death would bring the Ming dynasty crashing down!

Old Zhu stares at the lifeless body of his benefactor and goes completely mad. “How could a living immortal hang himself? You treacherous ministers must have been jealous and murdered him! Seal off the whole city and execute your nine generations!”

In an instant, Old Zhu raises his butcher's knife, has a Nine-Dragon Coffin made for an epic state funeral, and prepares to use the entire court as a blood sacrifice to accompany Lu Yuan in death!

With a hundred thousand heads about to hit the ground, Lu Yuan, lying in his coffin and waiting to ascend, hears an alarm:

“Beep! Host has caused a million lives to be devastated. The Ming dynasty's National Destiny is collapsing. Your soul is about to be annihilated!”

On the execution ground, as the officials wail in despair, the thousand-pound coffin lid is suddenly kicked into the air.

With strangulation marks around his neck, Lu Yuan sits up helplessly under Old Zhu's horrified gaze. “Your Majesty, put down the blade. I can still be resuscitated...”

From then on, the Ming dynasty has an invincible Imperial Preceptor who is terrified of dying, yet forced to drive Old Zhu into a frenzy of relentless competition, ultimately forging an empire where the sun never sets!
