Year 60 of Konoha, on the eve of the Chunin Exams, a squinty-eyed server with a harmless smile that never leaves his face appears at Ichiraku Ramen.

Otsutsuki Narumi looks like a cheerful good-for-nothing with no chakra. In secret, however, he is bound to the “Supreme Rankings System” and has become the ultimate mastermind, grinding the entire ninja world into the dirt!

“Watch closely, Sasuke. This is your embarrassing future.” A sky screen appears, forcing the whole ninja world to watch Sasuke's infamous show-off-and-get-beaten scene.

Sasuke's face turns black as a pot. “Narumi, who put up this sky screen? I'm going to kill him!”

Narumi munches on sunflower seeds as he casually pins the terrified Ino beside him against the counter. Looking down at her, he curls his lips into a smile. “Oh, how scary. You have to catch him, okay? Ino, that must have frightened you. Come over to my place tonight, and I'll help you calm down.”

The sky screen drives the entire ninja world into a frenzy of one-upmanship. The big shots lose it in the Pure Land, while the culprit quietly rakes in emotional points amid everyday life in Konoha, flirting with kunoichi and making a fortune without a fuss. You mess with me? I'll scatter your ashes to the winds!
