I Made a Great Graduation Animation, So How Did It Gross Over a Hundred Million?

[Director Fiction] [Entertainment Industry] My name is Su Ke. My graduation film, an animated short called The Cow Is Coming, got mocked across the entire internet.

The cow wasn’t just square, it was covered in mosaics, and the animation glitches were impossible to miss.

Everyone said, “If this thing gets a theatrical release, I’ll eat shit standing on my head.”

I sold my house and got it into the midnight screenings.

Opening-day box office: 8,124 yuan.

A major director’s Catch the Spy: 8.87 million.

Then things started getting ridiculous. “So bad it’s sincere” trended, and “reverse ticket-buying” swept the internet.

The glitchy animated film made over 100 million, while the major director’s movie bombed so hard he shut himself away.

They said I was trading on pity, on nostalgia.

So I made The Devil Child.

Nezha stood beneath the thunder and roared, “My fate is mine to command, not Heaven’s!”

The internet exploded. The film grossed four billion, and I won Best Animated Feature at the film festival.

The whole theater fell silent when I went up to accept the award.

I knew they didn’t want to give it to me, but the audience had cast their votes.

Later, I moved on to live-action films.

People in the industry laughed. “You can’t even make animation properly, and now you’re making movies?”

I made I Am the King of Medicine.

After it premiered, they all shut up, and the whole internet went wild.

“I cried my eyes out! This is the kind of movie I’ve always wanted to see!”

There are only so many major Chinese-language directors, and I blasted eight of them.

Haven’t they all achieved great things and won plenty of awards?

You ask why I don’t play nice? I’ve already ‘killed without blinking,’ so why ask if my eyes are dry?

I have no other agenda. I just want to create a new entertainment industry!

Entertainment industry, welcome your new king!
