Unhinged but clearheaded heiress × cold-faced, cunning King of Hell
The day Qin Yue transmigrates into the role of a vicious rich-family villainess, she does three things:
She sells off the original owner's bags to pocket five million, finds the minimum bid in the safe and makes a copy, then corners Su Yu'an in the underground parking garage.
He leans against the car door and looks down at her like she's a kitten that wandered into a wolf's den.
She slaps the documents against his chest. “Want to work together? I'll help you secure your position as heir, and you help me avoid an arranged marriage.”
He doesn't take them. “Why should I?”
She smiles. “Because I know your dear uncle is going after you at next week's board meeting.”
For the first time, Su Yu'an looks at her properly.
Later, he does secure his position, and she does avoid the arranged marriage. But nobody told her that the deal didn't include “being cornered against a wall by him.”
His thumb strokes her jaw, his voice low and rough. “You used to be so stupid I couldn't be bothered to look at you. Now you've learned to bite.”
Qin Yue swings her legs from where she sits on his desk. “Bite? I'm eating you alive.”
They agreed to fake a relationship to fend off an arranged marriage, but he gets into character a little too fast...
An arm around her waist is “making sure you don't lose your balance.” Holding hands in public is “for the older generation.” Cornering her against a wall is “rehearsing our lines.”
Qin Yue: “You sure know those lines awfully well.”
Su Yu'an: “I didn't memorize them. I'm making them up as I go.”
And the Su family's one billion and the old shareholders' stock? She picks them up along the way, and happens to trash the place too.
