Five years ago, Lin Wu and Wen Zhou, who had grown up together, got married accidentally due to a drunken incident.
Wen Zhou was three years younger than her. He was a Chinese teacher at a county primary school. He was gentle and restrained. He took care of her hemiplegic grandmother and also raised her daughter Nuomi.
After the child was weaned, Lin Wu was unwilling to be trapped in a small county town, so he and his entrepreneurial partner Shen Ran went to other places to pursue their careers.
Five years later, she successfully raised funds and finally reached the heights of her dreams. However, on the night of the celebration, she received two things: her daughter whispered "leave the flowers to mommy" in the video, and Wenzhou's signed divorce agreement.
He wrote:
If you want to fly, just fly.
Nuomi has me, don't worry.
Take care of yourself in the future.
Lin Wu discovered for the first time that she didn't want the freedom she had worked so hard to win.
After returning to the county seat
Wen Zhou calmly pushed the divorce agreement in front of her: "You can sign it at any time."
Lin Wu hesitated, she didn't want to sign.
She wanted to learn to be a mother again, wanted to spend time with her grandmother, and wanted to win back the man who had loved her for many years but never dared to fight.
Shen Ran later advised her: "The outside world belongs to you."
Lin Wu looked at Wen Zhou in the kitchen, who was tying his daughter's hair, and said softly, "My world is at home now."
Later, Wen Zhou asked her with red eyes, "Lin Wu, are you sure you choose me? Don't pity me."
Lin Wu stood on tiptoes and hugged him.
"I'm not pitying you."
"It took me a long time to find the way home."
