Apocalypse Zero: The Rules of Wasteland and Ashen Men

After the apocalyptic disaster, humanity was forced to live in divided underground cities, gray-zone settlements, and sealed-off cities. Gu Chen, a salvage worker, received a call from nineteen years in the past at an abandoned communications center. The voice seemed to belong to his missing mother. The call led him to a mysterious girl named A Kui and revealed the secrets of "Apocalypse Zero" and the population classification system. As the environment continued to deteriorate, communities grew suspicious of one another, and history was rewritten, Gu Chen set out in search of the truth alongside Lin Yan, a gray-skinned girl, Tang Li, an engineer, and others. They would have to choose between order and freedom, between the laws of their communities and individual choice, while seeking a future that did not require the sacrifice of the innocent.
