Temp Agency Work? The King of Hell Is Just My First Step

[Supernatural Revival] [Lighthearted Comedy] [Plot Twists] [Mentally Ill Male Lead]

Lin Qingxuan got drunk during the Ghost Festival. When he woke up, he found the entire street crawling with ghosts. Black Impermanence said his allotted lifespan was up and was about to send him off to be reborn as a pig.

Lin Qingxuan: "Wait, two bottles of milk beer can kill you? Are the Underworld's KPI assessments really that competitive?"

Black Impermanence: "Nonsense. I have never mishandled a case. Sign a labor dispatch contract or drink Grandma Meng's soup and be reborn as a pig. Pick one."

And so, Lin Qingxuan signed the contract through tears, becoming a temporary ghost officer who worked year-round, had no insurance or housing fund, and even had to pay a cut of the ghost money he collected. Thus began his miserable life of exterminating evil ghosts.

Several years later.

King Yama: "Brother Lin..."

Lin Qingxuan: "Hey, please use my title while we're at work."

King Yama: "All right, Temporary Worker Lin. We're still three hundred ghosts short of this month's evil ghost quota, and you've already caught every ghost in Xia Country. What do you think..."

Lin Qingxuan: "No problem. As long as the rewards are good, Japanese ghosts are ghosts, foreign ghosts are ghosts. A real man needn't worry about running out of evil ghosts to catch!"
