The Three Sages of the Ashen Lands

Cultivators follow one of two paths: black or white.

Those who cultivate the Human Dao hold fast to their original hearts and uphold human bonds, but their power remains limited for life, making it impossible to break through the direst trials.

Those who fall to the Demon Dao gain immense strength and transcend the mortal body, but lose their conscience and all their humanity.

Since time immemorial, humans and demons have walked separate paths, with no exceptions.

But Lin Tianwu is determined to become the one exception in all of history!

Haunted by a blood feud, he is left with broken bones and on the brink of death, sinking into utter despair. By chance, the source of the Blood-Eroding Pool tempers his body, a spiritual fruit reforges his bones, and a demonic seed takes root in his soul, forging him an immensely powerful demonic bloodline.

Yet he would rather suffer ten thousand calamities than abandon his humanity!

He defies the Dao with his body, cultivating both paths against the heavens!

His bones flow with the strongest demonic blood, bearing boundless strength; his heart preserves the pure yang of humanity as he diligently cultivates orthodox Human Dao techniques.

He carries a demonic seed yet follows the righteous path of humanity. He wields demonic power yet protects the heart of humankind.

From then on, Heaven and Earth can no longer tolerate him, and the entire world becomes his enemy.

The demons call him a traitorous half-breed, accusing him of stealing demonic power to protect humanity. They want to shatter his bones and seize his seed.

Humans fear the demon nature entwined within him, see him as the source of calamity, and want to kill him to eliminate the threat.

On one side is the demonic transformation that could devour his reason at any moment.

On the other are the burning obsessions of his blood feud and the lingering memories of his loved ones.

There is no road ahead, and no door open in Heaven or Earth.

If the Heavenly Dao sets its rules and the world rejects me,

then I, Lin Tianwu,

will shatter every chain, forge my own way forward, and walk the path no one in all history has dared to tread: a path where humans and demons coexist, defying the Dao!
