After Xu Zhao lost his job, he dug out a handwritten recipe handed down from his ancestors. The paper was yellowed and the handwriting was neat. Next to each dish were written "grandpa's favorite", "grandma's specialty" and "I made it on my wedding day".
Xu Zhao made a dish called "Grandpa's Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs" and gave it to his neighbor to try. The neighbor cried immediately after eating it: "My mother did the same when I was a kid."
Xu Zhao quit his job and opened a takeaway shop using recipes, called "My Family Recipes". Every dish on the menu has a story - "This dish was made by my grandfather when he was chasing my grandma, so it's called 'First Love Twice-cooked Pork.'" The takeaway shop has been open for half a year, and the whole city is eating his "ancestral taste." Someone specially ordered "Grandpa's Hot and Sour Soup" and wrote in the note: "My grandpa has been gone for three years and I miss him."
