One world is connected to another, like a mirror separated by a thin membrane. The worlds are inverted, yet both are breathtakingly beautiful.
They first met on a bridge of bubbles connecting the two worlds. Trapped on the bridge, Jun Wu met Bai Chuan and learned why he was stuck there.
The second time they met, Bai Chuan was being hunted and asked Jun Wu to keep something safe.
The third time, Bai Chuan played the victim and somehow turned the whole “keep this safe for me” business into Jun Wu being made his husband. Jun Wu was convinced Bai Chuan was seriously ill.
Bai Chuan’s perspective: The first time, he wanted to use Jun Wu to escape the area where he was trapped.
The second time, he was being hunted and had no other choice.
The third time, well, Jun Wu was a man, and he’d accepted the token Bai Chuan’s mother had left for his future partner. That meant his mother had chosen Jun Wu as his wife.
Besides, he didn’t have a wife anyway. His mother had picked someone for him, and he liked him too, so Jun Wu was his now.
Of course Jun Wu was one of his own. Treating his wife well was only natural, wasn’t it?
His parents’ disappearance, the watchful eyes around him, the Long Life Cult lying in wait...
After witnessing his parents’ deaths with his own eyes and being powerless to stop them, he fell into darkness.
But in that darkness, a pair of hands had always held on tight, never giving up on him.
Why would his teammates lay down their lives for a noble cause?
Why would people he knew die as heroes?
Why did those who knew it was impossible still keep giving their lives for the cause?
From not understanding at all to joining them, he only wanted to walk the same path they had.
