College student Chen Yan takes a summer job delivering food because he needs money, not only for his own living expenses at university, but also for his younger sister's medical bills.
His very first order is from the Underworld:
Merchant: Wutong Street No. 4, Nameless Shop
Address: Building 4, Hongyue Residential Complex, Apartment 404
Note: Knock on the door four times, then leave the food outside.
When he picks up the order, he discovers that he is delivering a bowl of funeral rice.
The owner says grimly, "If you don't deliver this order, you'll die."
He steels himself and delivers it to the door. Behind it, he sees bony hands scratching at the door, blood-red eyes, a rotting hand, and a barefoot woman in red.
The woman is too beautiful to be alive.
After that night, he learns two things:
One, once you accept an Underworld order, you have to deliver it. Riders who break their promise aren't even found dead.
Two, when he walks into contaminated zones that drive everyone else insane, nothing happens to him.
And that woman in red keeps appearing, following him wherever he goes...
