Aurora-shaped cracks called "Sequence Cracks" appear all over the world, and inhuman whispers are heard from the depths. In the decades that followed, tsunamis devoured cities, subsidence swallowed up plains, the polar regions melted, and equatorial polar nights were collectively known as "reverberating tides." What followed was an unprecedented drastic change in human history: some people began to awaken and gain the power of the legendary gods.
