Tokyo Exorcist: From the Start, I Draw the Underworld Heiress

Zhang Qingye was a mercenary who had crawled through countless battlefields. After waking up one day, he found himself in Tokyo, as a dirt-poor exorcist and the last in a line of nine generations.

Other people drive out ghosts with ritual swords and talismans.

Zhang Qingye exorcises ghosts by feeling the pistol at his waist: a six-shot .45-caliber revolver, forged from a Celestial Master's ritual sword, that slays demons from a hundred meters away. He also carries a huge bag of talismans: A4 printouts, stamped automatically on an assembly line, 6,000 a day.

Other people fear ghosts. He just resents that they don't reimburse his travel expenses.

In time, a dilapidated apartment building in Tokyo bearing the sign “Tokyo Exorcism Corporation” becomes a forbidden place in the eyes of countless ghosts and monsters.

A stunning Tokyo yakuza heiress asks, “Qingye-kun, would you like to be my dog?”

The sickly, possessive princess of a zaibatsu asks, “Qingye-san, I’m so scared being alone at night. Could you come keep me company?”

The little girl beside him glares furiously, grits her teeth, and bends a steel rebar with her bare hands. “You’re not allowed to go anywhere today!”

Zhang Qingye pulls out a QR code. “Scan to place your order. The highest bidder gets me.”
