Mo Yunci, sect master of the Tianxuan Sect, has cultivated for tens of thousands of years but still cannot ascend, and has no idea why. With no other choice, he uses the blood from his heart to glimpse the secrets of fate.
He calculates that the reason he cannot ascend lies with an ordinary mortal named Shen Yan. Mo Yunci has no choice but to seal away seven-tenths of his cultivation and follow his spiritual sense to the mortal realm.
When he wakes, the mighty immortal cultivator Mo Yunci has become a poor student at Jinghai University.
There is too little spiritual energy in the mortal realm. To maintain his cultivation, Mo Yunci has no choice but to keep earning money and giving it away.
Shen Yan was born with a pure Yang sacred constitution, but his fate is uncanny, making him prone to attracting demons and ghosts.
Mo Yunci thinks Shen Yan is merely a tribulation on his path to ascension, never realizing that their fates were bound together ten thousand years ago.
After all their twists and turns, it is only to repay a wisp of spiritual consciousness from ten thousand years ago.
