Your Spiritual Qi Is Drying Up, but Mine Is Reviving

Zhang Xiaolin lost his job and had no choice but to take his severance pay back to the countryside and try farming or raising livestock. He thought that would be his life from then on, until he found a ring in a cave. The ring suddenly glowed and transported Zhang Xiaolin, who was inside the cave, to an ancient desert? No, the martial artists of this world all speak of the existence of "immortals." Zhang Lintian manages to find one, too. He wants to become the immortal's disciple, but the immortal refuses. He says Zhang Xiaolin's talent is too poor and he is already past the best age to begin cultivating. He also reveals a more important reason for refusing to take him on: the spiritual energy of this world has been slowly drying up for a thousand years, and cultivation resources are increasingly scarce. Many ordinary "immortals" have had to go to mortal kingdoms to enjoy their remaining years, giving up their dreams of eternal life.

The ring takes Zhang Lintian back to Earth, where he discovers that after his return, dense vegetation has begun growing in the cave at a visible rate. It seems spiritual qi revival is happening here! Doesn't that mean he has a chance to cultivate?

Every time Zhang Xiaolin transmigrates, the spiritual energy in this place grows denser, even spreading outward until it gradually covers the whole Earth. He also discovers Earth's own spiritual ore deposits and mines spirit stones, which he takes to the cultivation world in exchange for all kinds of techniques. While the cultivation world's geniuses fret over scarce resources and slow progress, Zhang Lintian uses the worst talent imaginable to cultivate on Earth faster than those geniuses. This feels incredible.

But with spiritual qi revival, Earth seems to be changing, too. At the same time, he uncovers the secret behind the cultivation world's depleted spiritual energy...
