Everyone says that in romance worlds, the protagonists get their happily-ever-after while the supporting characters are sacrificed.
Childhood sweethearts who grew up together for over a decade can't compete with someone who drops in out of nowhere. A general guards a lonely city, only to be denied even a glance from the one he loves. A villain spends half his life going mad for someone who doesn't love him. Their devotion goes unreturned, sacrifice becomes second nature, and supporting characters are born to serve as stepping-stones to someone else's happiness.
Qin Buyan doesn't believe in that.
With an inept System 079 in tow, he enters one romance world after another. He won't break up true lovers or interfere with established couples. He has just one goal:
To pick up, one by one, the men crushed by the plot.
The rebellious school heartthrob, the reserved and stoic doctor, the stern and proper God of War, the obsessive and unhinged villain, the aloof and cold emperor, the head of the sect who has abstained from desire for a thousand years...
From the start, they hate him to the bone, convinced he's a rival in love, a smooth-talking persuader, or someone who dares to meddle with fate.
But all he does is catch them when they fall, mend their wounds, read their maps, and tell them:
"The world owes you a debt. From today on, it will pay you back, one account at a time."
From hostility to awkwardness, from dependence to falling for him all on their own, from obsession with the heroine to fiercely competing for a man...
The proudest souls, the wildest hearts, and the coldest blood all surrender at last to the tenderness he gives to them alone.
And no one knows that each time he rewrites fate, the cracks in the world grow deeper.
The heavens are watching, the rules are waiting, and the System is hiding the truth about his origins, a truth he cannot speak of.
Qin Buyan stands with his sword above all the worlds, his smile gentle and his gaze bright:
"Still haunted by regrets?"
"I'll save them all, including you, arrogant Heaven."
