A car crash and explosion leave An Nuo's face beyond recognition. She miraculously survives and gets a new face, but she cannot make herself stop loving him.
When she returns to the An family, she sees with her own eyes her fiance, Mu Bai, marrying Xu Wan'er, the "real daughter of the An family," in a lavish wedding. Only then does she realize the accident was nothing more than a "wedding gift" from that treacherous couple, meant to send her to her death!
To get revenge, she takes the name An Miao and becomes the personal assistant to Ye Yishen, CEO of Yehuang Group.
This mysterious, powerful man is obsessed with making her play the role of his "old acquaintance." He takes a blade for her, clears her path, and gazes at her with a crazed possessiveness.
Only after she crushes the Mu family, tears away Xu Wan'er's disguise, and thoroughly humiliates the An family does Ye Yishen grip her chin and sneer:
"Had enough of the act? My Miaomiao, how long are you planning to hide from me behind someone else's face?"
