Imprisoned Beneath Peach Mountain? First, I’ll Teach My Son to Topple the Hall of Miraculous Mists

After working herself to death, Ji Yao opens her eyes to find she has become the mythological Yaoji, pinned beneath Peach Mountain: the Jade Emperor’s younger sister and the mother of Erlang Shen, Yang Jian.

She can’t even roll over, but a mechanical notification suddenly rings in her mind.

“Ding! Rebellious Mom Parenting System has been bound.”

“Host’s son detected practicing martial arts in preparation to split open the mountain and save his mother. Current parenting assessment: an overly filial type who only knows how to split mountains. His vision is too limited.”

“System recommendation: guide your dutiful son to upgrade his mountain-splitting plan from Peach Mountain to the Lingxiao Palace. The filial piety points earned by toppling the Celestial Court are ten thousand times greater than those from splitting Peach Mountain!”

Ji Yao’s eyes widen as she takes in the enormous rewards on the screen. She immediately turns toward the sky above Peach Mountain and shouts at the top of her lungs.

“Son!!! Are you up there on the mountain?! Forget splitting Peach Mountain. Go tear down your uncle’s house!!!”

A few days later, what should have been a solemn tale of Yang Jian splitting the mountain to save his mother takes a sudden turn.

Erlang Shen, Yang Jian, kicks open the Southern Heavenly Gate with his three-pointed, double-edged spear in hand. Nezha, Sun Wukong, and the Bull Demon King stand behind him, eager to watch the chaos.

He slams his spear down onto the white jade floor and points at the towering Lingxiao Palace, bellowing,

“Uncle! My mother says you either give her half of the Lingxiao Palace today, or I’ll tear down the Southern Heavenly Gate and turn it into a clothes-drying rack for her!”

The Jade Emperor cowers behind his shattered throne, trembling as he looks at these fearsome rebels of the Three Realms. Tears of regret stream down his face.
