On Jiang Xubai's first day of school, he unexpectedly gains an ability: before every choice, he can see ten minutes down one of the possible paths. He hopes to use this glimpse into the future to get through high school in peace, but accidentally takes a photo of the feared rich girl Shen Yanqiu. She drags him into the film club, which is on the verge of disbanding, where he also meets Xu Zhining, cool and sharp, and Tang Tang, who always hides her feelings behind her headphones. The four of them go from filming leftover food in the cafeteria to the fish market at dawn, from the height of summer to the sea turning pale with morning light. Their camera captures other people's stories, while quietly rewriting their own youth. But ten minutes is enough to dodge an argument, not to see what a girl leaves unsaid in her eyes. Later, when morning light falls into the lens, he finally stops peeking at the answers. He just wants to be with them, slowly filming the unpreviewed days ahead.
