A lot of people equate the martial world with organized crime, but that’s not the case.
The martial world is more like a miniature version of mainstream society, with its own order. Its people follow ancient traditions, unique skills, and unwritten rules, making their lives within it.
Wherever there are people, there is a martial world. It has never lacked extraordinary people and strange happenings, whether heart-pounding, uncanny and perilous, or achingly beautiful... Most of what I’ve written about in this book comes from my own experiences, though some of it is hearsay. Readers should take it as entertainment and avoid obsessively checking whether it’s true or trying to identify real people.
