The Wicked Consort Takes Power, and the Emperor Obsessively Dotes on His Stunning Beauty

[Stunning villainess | flirtatious tease | the beloved turns dark | powerful family backing | later, the emperor dotes on her alone | dark turns darker] (and a supposedly “celibate” emperor)

At the selection ceremony, the Empress sat serenely upon her phoenix throne, while the emperor's heart belonged entirely to the cool, delicate Consort Shen.

In front of the whole hall, she announced that she would claim the coveted position of Empress.

She was above secretly poisoning or framing anyone, but if someone displeased her, she would settle the score in public and never let herself be wronged.

If a concubine dared provoke her, she'd get slapped on the spot.

The Empress wielded the palace rules to suppress her at every turn, while Consort Shen hid countless schemes beneath her gentle exterior.

Memorials piled up at court, all condemning her arrogance and wanton behavior.

But her father, the Grand Commandant, backed her at court, and her aunt, the Empress Dowager, protected her in the palace.

Even Emperor Xiao Heng, fully aware of her bold, untamable nature, spoiled her without reservation.

At first, he would only pretend to admonish her to be more restrained. But when the harem erupted in chaos, the emperor defended her in public, his voice ringing through the hall:

“My beloved consort can strike whoever she likes.”

The beloved's years of devotion came to nothing, and three factions in the harem fought without end.

Everyone said:

The person you must never provoke in the harem isn't the emperor's beloved or even the Empress. It's Su Wu!!!

If you provoke her, you need a thick enough skin. Her slaps are no joke...
