The Bride Who Sold River Snails to Support Her General

The legitimate daughter refused the marriage, so the concubine-born daughter took her place.

A marriage contract plunged Su Yao into a general’s residence fraught with danger. When her husband was gravely wounded in an ambush by his elder brother, she was framed and chose to leave the residence.

Penniless in a remote mountain hut, she gathered snails and foraged for mountain delicacies, setting up a stall to sell stir-fried snails. She gave everything she had to treat and protect the unconscious Nangong Yi.

From a resentful noblewoman to a street-market vendor, a plate of spicy snails sustained their love through a life of hardship and upheaval.
