At first, the world was chaos. The universe was filled with darkness, and no one knows how many years passed before its first life came into being. When he was born into this world, he too was bewildered. In a universe of nothing but darkness, he had no idea what to do. Countless millennia passed before he understood his own abilities. At the same time, he felt loneliness in the dark universe. After who knows how many more years, he decided to create things to decorate a universe filled with nothing but darkness. More years passed, and the universe filled with every color. At first, he was delighted. But after a while, that endless loneliness came over him once more. He looked at the universe he had created and felt that something was missing, though he had no idea what. So he began to ponder what it could be. Then he realized that he felt lonely because he lacked others like himself. So he split himself in two, never knowing that this would change his fate.
That division was not a tearing apart, but a kind of unfolding, like a river naturally splitting into two streams at a certain point. Two gods were born from him. One remained himself, ruling over creation and wielding the power to bring things into being. The other was his opposite, ruling over destruction and wielding the authority to bring things to an end and make them vanish. They were not enemies, but two sides of the same whole, the two faces of one coin, the beginning and ending strokes of the same pen.
The God of Creation and the God of Destruction.
And when they stood side by side, mirroring and measuring themselves against one another, at last, humanity was born.
