[Strong female lead + female emperor + court intrigue + System + a nobody climbs the ranks step by step + more to come]
In her previous life, Shen Wangyao had no one to care for her. She struggled to grow up alone, spent her whole life guarding against villains, yet was still framed by her own family and forced to jump to her death. She died consumed by boundless rage.
When she opened her eyes again, she had transmigrated to an alternate dynasty and unexpectedly become bound to a strategist System.
The System told her, "Help the female emperor ascend the throne, and I'll send you home once you succeed."
She wanted to go home. She wanted those people to pay.
In this life, she had a mother who loved her dearly, a System that was practically a cheat code, and someone who willingly became her stepping-stone to the top. Watch as she climbs from the lowest ranks of the bureaucracy to become the most powerful minister at the court of the female emperor.
Years later, however, Shen Wangyao, now the most powerful minister in Great Qi, still couldn't find her way home. At last, she discovered the truth about the world.
Xie Zhijin had the Xie family behind him and the emperor's deep trust. His career in the bureaucracy was smooth sailing, making him the person everyone at court most wanted to win over.
Yet the first time he received a yearning look from Shen Wangyao, his heart had already begun to turn toward her, beyond his control.
He was willing to work for her and became her stepping-stone without a single complaint.
Note: The court intrigue is simplistic, and there is a romance plot.
