My Master Always Wants to Shield Me from Calamity

[Two Male Leads, Teacher and Disciple, Younger Top, Gentle and Aloof Immortal-Like Bottom x Beautiful, Wicked, and Selfish Top, Pampered Top]

On the very first day after Xie Huizhou was reincarnated as a baby, he was held in the arms of Wen Duchuan, the coldest and most revered immortal in the cultivation world.

He had a wickedly beautiful face, but was selfish and cold to the bone, believing in the maxim, "Give up your urge to help others and respect their fate." Yet he bore a tremendous karmic burden, destined to become the source of a disaster that would bring the cultivation world to ruin. The harder he tried to avoid it, the more absurdly karma ensnared him.

Wen Duchuan was his master. Everyone said Elder Wen was as cold as frost and untouched by the mortal world, but they didn't know that he showed tenderness only to Xie Huizhou. He raised him, taught him to cultivate, and shielded him from every prying gaze and every malice.

But disaster finally struck, leaving the world in ruins. The Heavenly Dao demanded that Xie Huizhou sacrifice his life to avert the calamity.

He grabbed Wen Duchuan's hand, his voice trembling. "If you won't go, and I won't go, someone else will have to... The Heavenly Dao will eventually choose someone else."

Wen Duchuan only looked at him tenderly and said softly, "Just how many people would have to be sacrificed before the Heavenly Dao chooses someone else?"

"I don't want you to go. That's my selfishness. But I can't bear to see the world in ruins, either."

"So I have to go."

He threw himself into battle without hesitation. Xie Huizhou looked at his fellow disciples, his closest friend, and the Sect Leader and elders who had cherished him since childhood. At last, he closed his eyes and gave himself up.

In that moment, he spent every last bit of his cultivation and life, turning into a sky full of peach blossoms.

The desolate battlefield suddenly burst with life. Peach trees sprang up everywhere, and all those who had been sacrificed slowly opened their eyes amid the petals.

Wen Duchuan stood where he was, watching his beloved gradually vanish from the world.
