Apocalypse's Gorgeous Temptress VS. Civilized Scoundrel Camp Leader

In the 26th year of the apocalypse, human hearts are more terrifying than zombies.

Among the ruins of A City, Lu Heng is order itself.

The gentler his smile, the more lethal his methods. Everyone follows the rules in the palm of his hand, until a disheveled "mute girl" appears before him.

She has no combat ability, can't flatter anyone, and trembles as she clutches her clothes, yet still manages to say each word clearly: "I'm looking for my younger sister."

He scoffs. "What makes you think I'll help you?"

Wen Zhiyu says nothing. She simply walks toward an out-of-control ability user, step by step, and presses her palm to the person's forehead. The rampaging lightning falls silent.

At that moment, the smile in Lu Heng's eyes finally vanishes.

He begins to keep her close, lock her up, and confine her to his territory, claiming he has every right to "protect" her.

He thinks he's only keeping a useful pawn, until she repeatedly puts her life on the line for her sister. Only then does he realize that he's not the one trapping her. She's had his life in her grasp all along.

"Lu Heng," she asks with reddened eyes, "what exactly am I to you?"

He is silent for a long time, then gathers his thunderstorm domain into a small cluster of gentle lightning in his palm and softly places it in her hand.

"...The one and only."
