Reincarnated in Another World: Rewriting Magic from Infancy

[Reincarnation in Another World + Growing Through Magic + Academy Adventures + Multiple Races + Family Life + No System]

I died in an underground passage where even time had stopped.

When I opened my eyes again, I had become Jieming Wurgong, the second son of a hunter in Hazel Hill Village.

Magic really exists in this world, and the amount of mana inside me is downright alarming. There’s one very practical problem: a newborn’s body can’t even roll over. Use a little too much strength, and my hands, feet, and breathing give out first.

Most people start by memorizing spells. I can see mana directly, and I’ve discovered that when magic is cast, the power always moves half a step faster than the spell.

From making a strip of cloth float to turning the pages of my first book myself, I’m gradually figuring out new ways to cast magic. I’ve also set myself a few goals that aren’t exactly modest.

First, I’ll become the strongest mage, then claim the title of Great Sage. As for impressive-sounding titles like “King of All Magic” and “Creator of Forbidden Spells,” I wouldn’t mind having those too.

There’s a long road ahead. Beyond the village lie academies, foreign lands, adventures, and wars. I’ll slack off, get distracted by the excitement and forget what I’m supposed to be doing, and take painful falls because I think I’m too clever. But if there’s something I truly want to do, I’ll pick it back up once I’ve rested, and keep at it until I turn the ideas in my head into magic the world has never seen.

Right now, I’m only eight months old, and my older brother is the only one who knows my secret.

My most pressing task is to get my family to find a magic book for a baby who’s still drooling.
