A heavy snowfall, a second chance at life. Wang Ren returns to the tragic beginning of the day his wife and daughter died. The recklessness and regret of his past life are etched into his bones, transforming him completely. In a remote mountain village in the 1970s, where supplies are scarce and wild beasts roam, he uses his formidable skills to hunt and make a fortune, clear the forests of savage beasts, resolve crises among the neighbors, and sever every ill-fated tie from his previous life. He devotes himself to pampering his beautiful young wife, a sent-down youth, protects his little daughter, and keeps his family safe and their days peaceful.
