In 1985, the Zhao family in Liushugou Village ushered in a new life after separation. Sanfang and his family moved into the old courtyard in the west of the village and started their new life in a dilapidated mud house. Facing the trivial problems in life, Liang Xingzhi always believes that a family's life must be managed slowly with their hands. Old courtyards, abandoned gardens, old objects and neighborhood interactions bear witness to a family's persistence and growth in ordinary years. As time goes by, they repair their houses with diligence, maintain their family ties with warmth, and find their own stability and hope in the changes in rural life.
