[Two male leads | esports fiction | internet memes | mostly comedy | romance included | not entirely about esports | a light ensemble cast | jump right in without overthinking]
A few things to know
A heads-up:
1. This is my first time writing an esports novel, so most of it is made up. If you don't like esports stories, feel free to leave. There will also be some romance; it's not all about esports.
2. It's a beginner's work, so give it a try only if you're okay with that.
3. There may also be a side couple.
Synopsis
There was no particular reason.
Song Beilin worked part-time every morning, then tried to make money another way at night, which was why he gave gaming a shot.
He used to be terrible at the game but loved playing. Then he started learning a little about every lane after seeing people online offering services like account boosting.
He wanted to give it a try, too, but his skills weren't good enough, so for now he was training hard.
When he switched lanes to the development lane, he'd never seen anything like it: four people were ganging up on his Gongsun Li.
Then Daji stunned him, and her teammates finished him off with a full combo.
Song Beilin: “…”
What kind of development lane is this? It's a sterilization lane!
…
Before bed that night, he was browsing the internet when he found out livestreaming could make money, too. So he decided to try streaming while playing. Whatever, he was bad at the game but loved playing it.
And just like that, he kicked off his livestreaming career, working part-time in the mornings and streaming at night.
…
One time, he unexpectedly ran into a team, though he hadn't noticed their IDs. Later, they saw that his skills were decent and tried to recruit him.
…
A certain young master was watching someone's livestream on a secondary account, clearly sizing up the player's abilities.
Okay, okay, very good, I haven't finished it yet
The writing is good, but one thing that is a bit lacking is that I don't know which hero plays which lane, and it's not very clear what hero the protagonist plays. I hope the author can write it down in detail.
Personally, I think the logic is clear, the plot doesn't drag out, and it's understandable. It's very well written.
